A little deviation from my first post! I know! I really am alive! So,please pick yourself up off the floor, get a cup of tea, and relax!
This is an item from CBN News...(2/27) by Wendy Griffith/CR
The title....Teen Abolitionist Leader of Growing Effort to End Modern-Day Slavery.
The summation is in my words...direct wording is in quotations.
"When Zach Hunter was 12, he learned about slavery and wished he could have lived during that time, so that he could free slaves." It seems that "he wanted to do something about the slavery issue of today."His quote..."maybe we could try to bring it about with God, because with God's help, all things are possible."
He has launched a growing movement called"Loose Change to Loosen Chains", based on Prov. 31:8-9. He speaks at conferences, schools, etc,and has a book published..."Be The Change".
"He is the student spokesperson for the new movie"Amazing Grace"; and has started a school wide money competition between classes."
" He wants his generation to be known as the "Peace and Love Generation". "Not like the 60's-without God", Zach says."
I subscribe to the Elijah List, who puts out the newsletter of current Christian news items.
I was tickled pink to see this...it gives us old folks room to ponder. And it made me happy to see that, even though these are the Last Days, that there is young blood ready to stand up for Jesus!
Thanks for your quick and gracious response. I'll be posting some of my stuff, and will let you know when and where it is. Reviews of my writing are always welcome!
Blessings in abundance and to over-flowing!
